Gamer Builds Ultimate Starcraft Keyboard Mod; Gaming World Looks in Envy

Attention, Master League Starcraft II gamers: You may have pretty much mastered the game, but do you wish there was a keyboard more suited to you needs to help you improve reaction time and accuracy? If so, a Starcraft player already has the answer. Inspired by the Razer Blackwidow keyboard, Razer Spectre keyboard, and Marauder mouse, Mauricio Romano built the ultimate keyboard-and-joystick combo for Starcraft II gaming as an entry for an arcade stick contest over on the Shoryuken website, which he won. The keyboard consists of an Ultrastik analog stick re-purposed to work more like a two-buttoned mouse, along with an array of Sanwa buttons used typically in arcade games. He included buttons for only the most important hotkeys you would need in a game of Starcraft, so your most-used macros are always at your fingertips. Overall, there are just 29 "keys," including ones for shift, space, and control. A 3D printing company created the large casing, which is decorated with a Starcraft theme and lined with blue LED. Sadly, while it does look seriously useful to play the game it was built for, that's about as practical as it gets. You certainly can't use it like a normal keyboard-and-mouse combination, so you'll still need your regular set nearby for switching between gaming and other computer use. Perhaps this could be further tweaked to be an ultimate keyboard?
