The 2012 Audi A5 is
available in Coupe, Sportback, Cabriolet forms and also the RS 5 Coupe, which
is a performance variant of the A5 Coupe. In essence, all variants of the A5
are the coupé, cabriolet, and five-door fastback versions of the A4 and shares
similar underpinnings. All A5 variants received a minor facelift in 2012 which
include a redesigned head lamp cluster, revamped grille and fog lamps amont
other minor tweaks. All 2012 Audi A5 variants come with a 1.8-litre inline-4
cylinder engine that produces 170bhp and 320Nm of torque. This engine is
coupled with a CVT gearbox that sends power to the front wheels. Then there is
the four cylinder 2-litre TFSI engine which produces 211bhp and 350Nm of torque
and is mated to a 7-speed S tronic gearbox and has a Quattro drivetrain. The
3-litre TFSI V6 engine produces 272bhp and 400Nm and is paired with a 7-speed S
tronic Quattro system. The RS 5 Coupe gets a 4.2-litre V8 FSI engine that
produces 450bhp and 430Nm of torque. It comes standard with a 7-speed S tronic
gearbox and a Quattro all-wheel-drive system. All variants come standard with a
Bluetooth interface, parking sensors, alloy wheels, power seats at the front
and leather interiors. The RS 5 also comes standard with a navigation system. Buyers
can also choose from optional S line package that includes the S line sports
package and the S line exterior package. All 2012 Audi A5 variants come get
standard front and side airbags, traction control and ABS.
