Teaser video of the saucy 2013 Nissan Altima released

Nissan has uploaded three interesting Youtube videos teasing the next generation Altima (2013 Nissan Altima). The Altima is offered across the Middle East in four-door and coupe bodystyles with either a 2.4-liter four-cylinder or a 3.5-liter V6 engine. The countdown to the next generation model has started as Nissan gears up to conduct the world debut of the all new car at the New York Auto Show in early April. Over the past few days, Nissan has released three well edited videos of the new Altima on its American Youtube channel. The first video shows angular headlights and a beefed-up version of the grille adopted on the smaller Sunny/Versa sedan. The third video provides the first glimpse of the car's rear end that features flowing bodywork, pacman-inspired taillights and an integrated spoiler to the bootlid. There are trimmings of the Ellure concept car Nissan brought to the 2010 Los Angeles Motorshow.

The Japanese company remains mum on the technical specs of the 2013 Nissan Altima. The aforementioned powertrains are likely to be used on the incoming version but there's also a talk of a L-Ion-powered hybrid variant using the 2.5-liter engine. A higher company official from Europe told Auto Middle East that Nissan will not use the Altima as the successor to the Teana, a similarly proportioned car sold in Asian countries.
