Mercedes Benz developing all-new S-Class for a late 2012 showcase

Mercedes Benz is preparing its next generation S-Class (codenamed W222 and V222 for the short- and long-wheelbase models) will be ready by the end of the 2012 for a launch either at the Frankfurt Motor Show or at the Paris Motor Show during the September-October period.
The extent of the redesign can be understood fully when you learn that even the smallest of switchgears is not retained from the outgoing S-Class. It is built with aluminum body panels, sports a larger grille, LED headlights and a more upright windscreen. The design of the 2013 Mercedes S-Class is heavily influenced by the F800 Style / F 125! concept models.
The cabin also undergoes a complete transformation with higher quality materials, aluminum highlights, marine-style seats and wood trim and a new COMAND system. Petrol and diesel engines from the current lineup are expected to be carried over on to the new S-Class with improved fuel efficiency and lower emissions. Starting from the 250 CDI, S350 CDI, a S300 Bluetec hybrid and S400 Bluetec hybrid, The S500, S600, S63 AMG all the way till the S65 AMG are expected to make a comeback.
